Our community support team is dedicated to providing individuals and families with the necessary skills to overcome mental illness. We strive to extend our support beyond the office walls by offering programs catered to those covered under Medicaid. These programs are available only upon referral from a therapist.
BHIS offers tools and support to families so they can create a supportive environment at home as they work through emotional and behavioral issues. The program helps families find real-life solutions for dealing with family conflict, coordination between therapists, medication providers, schools and other service providers in the community, and a comprehensive and coordinated array of services from assessment to implementation. This method provides support, direction and education in the client’s home or a community setting in which the client feels safe. BHIS are designed for children experiencing social, behavioral, or emotional challenges with the primary goal of assisting these individuals and their families in learning age-appropriate skills to manage behavior and self-control issues, allowing them to function in the home setting and in society.
IPR helps individuals to overcome disabilities resulting from a serious and persistent mental illness. Guided by the individual’s involvement, choice, and self-determination, IPR helps clients achieve personal and meaningful goals that improve their success and satisfaction within their living, learning, working, and socializing life. This program includes on average four to ten hours per week for 12 to 24 months before graduating. Participants work individually with their provider as well as in groups for mutual support.
CSS enables adults with a chronic mental illness to improve quality of life, reduce hospitalizations, and improve overall life functioning. CSS providers help clients identify and use their natural supports, secure additional resources, connect with adequate mental and medical healthcare, and strengthen core life skills.
