Café + Coffee Shop

The Dietary Services department’s mission is to provide nutritious meals and snacks to patients, employees, and visitors via the patient food service program and the Medical Center’s cafeteria located on the first floor.

At Myrtue Medical Center Café, we prioritize providing top-notch service and maintaining high food standards. Our friendly and helpful staff will make you feel welcome while offering a diverse selection of hot entrées, vegetables, sandwiches, and soups. You can also create your own salad at our salad bar during lunch hours.

Start your day off right with our continental breakfast, and enjoy occasional hot menu items. For visitors, the daily menu and pricing are available in the cafeteria. Employees can take advantage of a discount that is applied at the time of purchase. Payment is accepted through the employee payroll deduction system, cash, or check.

For those who are looking for a quick bite, we have grab-and-go options, cold sandwiches, beverages, and snacks available between meal serving hours. Our vending machines, located just outside the cafeteria entrance on the first floor, offer a selection of juices and soft drinks. You can also find cold food and candy/chip vending machines, as well as microwave ovens, in the cafeteria for your convenience. And if you need a snack or refreshment outside of regular dining hours, candy/chip and pop vendors can be found on the second floor at the Inpatient waiting room.

Cafeteria Remodel 2023 - 2024

The Hospital Board of Trustees approved a $1.4 million dollar renovation of the cafeteria and dining area in September 2023, and MMC began the cafeteria remodel on Monday, November 13, 2023. Construction is expected to be complete within approximately five months of start date. Among the enhancements and amenities will include a more spacious layout with improved flow in and out of the cafeteria, updated finishes and conveniences, and an outdoor seating area.

Temporary Cafeteria Location + Hours

You can find the temporary cafeteria on the second floor of Myrtue Medical Center in the Board Room. Look for signage pointing in the direction of the location, otherwise please request help from a team member.

Temporary Cafeteria Hours (subject to change during the remodel process)

Breakfast: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Lunch: 11:00 AM – 1:15 PM
Closed: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Dinner: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Coffee Shop

Coffeegirl, a locally owned coffee shop in Harlan and Atlantic, opened their doors at Myrtue Medical Center on February 7, 2024.
