Myrtue Medical Center's Senior Life Solution Awarded Program Expansion of the Year Award

Myrtue Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions has been named the 2024 Program Expansion Award, by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program. The program opened track number one in 2020 and began offering its first 10 patients group therapy sessions up to 3 times per week. Senior Life Solutions has served more than 75 individuals in the first track, since opening. In a recent community health needs assessment, mental/behavioral health care was determined to be one of the greatest health challenges in Shelby County. To address the need for quality, cost-effective mental health care, Myrtue Medical Center decided to expand Senior Life Solutions services to include Track 2. “We are proud to be the only program in the nation to receive this award for Program Expansion,” said Dave Bauman, Program Director.

Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) partners with more than 250 hospitals and health systems programs Myrtue Medical Center’s programs are recognized annually based on their excellence in demonstrating PMC’s values of care, compliance, and community. Award recipients were chosen for providing outstanding patient care, excellent comprehension and execution of compliance regulations, and strong community engagement.

“I feel honored to have not only a great team but also a fantastic hospital that has been supportive of us providing such a great service to the community,” said Bauman. “We are grateful for the trust that has been placed in us. It has been great to see firsthand how our program can impact the patients we serve.”
