Rural Health Clinic
Full-time position (36 hours per week). Works 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Prioritizes patient appointments for medical practitioner’s schedule. Utilizes critical judgment to coordinate with practitioner and clinic staff members for patient access. Applies knowledge of illnesses, injuries and diseases, using available resources in the assessment process. Assesses patient’s problems on the phone, triages calls, discusses with medical practitioner/nursing staff and returns calls. Documents nursing intervention, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc. Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing program possessing a current Iowa nursing license. Must either be certified in CPR or obtain certification during the first three months of employment.
