Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine specializing in the function and diseases of the eye. An Ophthalmologist can diagnose, monitor and medically or surgically treat problems affecting the eye and visual disorders. Myrtue Medical Center has two Ophthalmologists – Dr. Liu and Dr. Thomas – who treat patients and perform cataract surgeries every month. Dr. Thomas specializes in retinal diseases.
