Full-time position, works 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. The administrative assistant supports the department of rehabilitation services by answering phones, taking messages, greeting patients/clients, managing schedules, managing insurance verification/authorization, maintaining a clean and organized department/clinic for efficient operations, and other diverse duties as requested or required. Must be 16 years of age and be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Computer proficiency, experience in EPIC, registration and scheduling preferred.
Environmental Services Department
Various positions available (both part-time and full-time). Work mornings or evenings (outside of normal clinic/patient hours) at satellite clinics. Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital. Performs various cleaning duties, sweeps and scrubs floors, cleans restroom facilities, handles trash and recycled items, dusts offices, and performs other duties as assigned. Cleans patient and non-patient areas. Training and experience not required. Hospital will do on-the-job training. Must know how to use common house cleaning devices to keep areas clean. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.
Part-time positions (24 hours per week). Works various 12- hour shifts. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care to OB patients and newborns. Directs and provides patient/family teaching. Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Provides intense nursing care to laboring women and must be able to access labor dystocia, non-reassuring fetal heart rate patterns, or any arising OB related emergencies. Provides education, advice and support to laboring women and support person or people through different therapies, different pain management plans, and individual birth plans. Communicates with physicians accurately and thoroughly. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program. Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Iowa. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire.

Full-time position in three-person department. Position will be seven days on call; five days on day shift; one week off. Assists with membership enrollment, POS, and customer service to Wellness Center participants; ensures the general appearance of the facility, entry desk and vending areas are clean and in good working order, and performs documentation and record keeping as required. Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred. PFWC will provide on-the-job training.

Multiple positions. Various shifts available, days, nights, or weekends. Assists the professional nursing staff in providing quality patient care. Responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to: ADLs, assessments, documentation, etc, and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN. Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, relaying pertinent information, and assisting with patient hygiene and personal care. Assists with ambulation and transfers. Completion of an approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.

Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire.
Rural Health Clinics
Full-time position (40 hours per week). Performs physical examinations, prescribes medication, orders lab and x-ray examinations according to physician guidelines. Performs other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as determined by protocol. Maintains appropriate records. Makes referrals as appropriate. Must be licensed/certified in the State of Iowa as an ARNP or PA-C. CPR required.
