Food Service Worker

Dietary Department

Part-time position (24 hours per week).  Works 6:00 am to 2:30 pm OR 10:00 am to 6:30 pm three days per week (may work extra days as needed).  Works every other weekend.  Rotates holidays.  Performs a variety of food service tasks to ensure deliverance of meals/food for patients, cafeteria, and special meetings throughout the health system.  Adheres to the mission of Myrtue Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.  One year of food service experience is desirable, but not required.  Must have general knowledge of cooking and using kitchen machines and equipment.  Completion of high school or equivalent required.

Certified Nurses Assistant

Medical/Surgical Department

Full-time position (40 hours per week).  Works 7:00 am to 3:00 pm five days Sunday through Saturday.  Works every other weekend.  Assists the professional nursing staff in providing quality patient care.  Is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, ADL’s, assessments, documentation, etc and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN.  Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, relaying pertinent information, and assisting with patient hygiene and personal care.  Assists with ambulation and transfers.  Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.

ER Tech

Emergency Department

Two on-call positions.  Schedule varies.  Possible shifts include 9:00 am to 9:00 pm; 11:00 am to 11:00 pm; or 11:00 pm to 7:00 am various days Sunday through Saturday. Assists the professional nursing staff and ED medical practitioners in providing care to patients in the Emergency Department.  Is responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment for the area.  Performs EKGs.  Functions under the direct supervision of an RN.  Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, and relaying pertinent information.  Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.

Fitness Instructor

Petersen Family Wellness Center

On-call position.  Works various hours.  Provides qualified instruction of safe and effective exercise to all participants of the general healthy public, offers exercise modification to fit individual needs of participants, and helps foster a commitment to fitness as a lifelong goal.  Teaching experience or experience at being in front of people, or some type of leadership skills preferred.  Background in exercise or an interest in exercise, and hold a certification for some type of class teaching preferred.

Lifeguard

Petersen Family Wellness Center

On-call position.  Works various hours Sunday through Saturday as needed. Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center Aquatic Center.  Prevents and responds to emergencies.  Enforces rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center.  Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred.  Current Lifeguard Certification required.

Administrative Nursing Professional Assistant

Nursing Administration Department

Part-time position (24 hours per week).  Works various days Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Performs secretarial support for the nursing service and other departments of the hospital as assigned.  Maintains accurate, complete nursing files, records, and manuals.  Is competent in computer functions.  Prioritizes job responsibilities and is able to multi-task.  Completes duties independently and in a timely manner.  Secretarial experience of at least one year is required with preference given to experience in the business office and medical-related fields.  Computer experience of at least one year is also preferred.  Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required.

Lifeguard

Petersen Family Wellness Center

On-call position.  Schedule varies.  Works various hours as needed Sunday through Saturday.  Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center/Lewis Family Aquatic Center.  Prevents and responds to emergencies. Enforces rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center.  Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the Aquatic Center.  Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred. Current Lifeguard certification required.

Lifeguard

Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center aquatic complex.  Prevents and responds to emergencies.  Enforces rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center.  Knowledge and use of exercise equipment preferred.  Current Lifeguard certification required.

Certified Medical Coder

Medical Records Department

Full-time position (36 hours per week).  Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Under general supervision is responsible for the review, interpretation, coding, and abstracting of medical record information according to standard and current classification systems; identifies and applies appropriate diagnoses, procedural, HCPCS, and modifier codes to obtain accurate assignment for proper reimbursement and data collection in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting.  Prefer one year of experience in coding inpatient and/or outpatient records with the use of ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS classification systems.  ICD-10 knowledge not required, but preferable. Coding certification is required through IHIMA or AAPC as a RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CCA, and CPC-H.  An incumbent shall also be considered if he/she is registry eligible or actively working toward accreditation or registration.

Environmental Services Staff

Environmental Services Department

Full-time position (40 hours per week).  Works five days Sunday through Saturday 4:00 pm to 12:30 am.  Rotates weekends and holidays.  Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital.  May be required to sort and/or transport laundry.  Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment which is conducive to the recovery of ill patients and contributes positively to staff morale and the public relations of the hospital.  Training and experience not required. Hospital will do on-the-job training.  Must know how to use common house cleaning devices to keep areas clean.  Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards.  Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.
