Case Manager

Utilization Review Department

On-call position.  Works as needed Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm OR 8:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.  Is responsible for facilitating the patient’s hospitalization from pre-admission through discharge.  Coordinates with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care.  Applies clinical expertise and medical appropriateness criteria to resource utilization and discharge planning.  Will provide case management intervention by assessing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to effect an appropriate, individualized plan for the patient across the continuum of care.  Must be a registered nurse with five years experience in clinical nursing.  Previous utilization review and case management experience preferred.  Computer knowledge required.  Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program with current Iowa Registered Nurse license.

Pod Nurse

Rural Health Clinic

Full-time position (36 hours per week).  Works 8:00 am to 5:30 pm four days per week:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday plus two Thursdays 8:00 am to Noon per month.  Is of prime importance in helping the medical provider respond successfully to the increasing demands for his/her services.  Is the essential link between the medical provider and his/her patients, professional associates, and equipment and medical suppliers.  Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  Obtains medical histories from patients and records briefly in chart.  Teaches patients about diseases, medications, tests, and procedures.  Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing program possessing a current Iowa nursing license.  Must either be certified in CPR or obtain certification during the first three months of employment.

Childcare Attendant

Petersen Family Wellness Center

On-call position.  Works Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to the children of wellness center participants; keeps the children safe, clean, and comfortable; helps children to use restroom when needed; ensures the general appearance of the childcare facility and equipment; keeps toys clean, sanitized and in good working order; and performs documentation and record keeping as required.  PFWC will provide on-the-job training.

Clinical Registered Nurse Analyst

Information Systems

Full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position.  Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Provides a high level of technical support (development, testing, integration, and implementation) of applications and interfaces which deliver IT tools and support business functions across the health system using the Epic system.  Performs project management requirement definitions, systems design, analysis, problem resolution, and vendor coordination.  Develops and implements training pertaining to the staff use of Epic clinical systems, participates as an active and integral member of the clinical informatics team, and maintains the established standards of care and practice through direct patient care, clinical systems improvement activities, and staff education.  Provides in-house expertise and technical support to end-users on Epic database and software-related issues.  Oversees day-to-day integrity of clinical informatics systems.  Minimum of five years experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting required.  Minimum of two years of health care application in an IT setting is beneficial.  Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, clinical research, and analysis tools required.  Epic certification is desired; must attain certification in clinical areas for Epic within six months.  Current Iowa Registered Nurse license required.  A sign-on bonus is being offered for this position.

Environmental Services Staff

Environmental Services Department

Full-time position (40 hours per week).  Works five days Sunday through Saturday 4:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Rotates weekends and holidays.  Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital.  May be required to sort and/or transport laundry.  Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment which is conducive to the recovery of ill patients and contributes positively to staff morale and the public relations of the hospital.  Thoroughly cleans assigned areas in a timely manner by applying cleaning techniques effectively.  Training and experience not required.  Hospital will do on-the-job training.  Must know how to use common house cleaning devices to keep areas clean.  Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards.  Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.

Lifeguard

Petersen Family Wellness Center

Four on-call positions.  Works nights and weekends.  Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those using the Petersen Family Wellness Center aquatic center. Prevents and responds to emergencies.  Enforces rules and regulations of the Aquatic Center.  Current Lifeguard certification required.

Food Service Worker

Dietary Department

Part-time position (24 hours per week).  Works 6:00 am to 2:30 pm OR 10:00 am to 6:30 pm three days per week.  May work extra days as needed.  Works every other weekend.  Rotates holidays.  Performs a variety of food service tasks to ensure deliverance of meals/food for patients, cafeteria, and special meetings throughout the health system.  Sets up cafeteria for breaks and meals; serves customers; runs cash register; washes dishes; stocks supplies; cleans; delivers patient trays to floor; general duties as assigned.  One year of food service experience is desirable, but not required. Must have general knowledge of cooking and using kitchen machines and equipment. Completion of high school or equivalent required.

Certified Nurses Assistant

Medical/Surgical Department

Part-time position (24 hours per week).  Works 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Works every other weekend.  Assists the professional nursing staff in providing quality patient care.  Is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to:  ADLs, assessments, documentation, etc and related health care functions under the direct supervision of an RN or LPN.  Assists with direct patient care including taking vitals, recording data, relaying pertinent information, and assisting with patient hygiene and personal care.  Assists with ambulation and transfers.  Completion of approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant course and/or successful completion of Nursing Assistant certification written and skills tests or completion of one year of an approved practical nurse program or professional nurse program required.
