Birthing Center

We love being there for that exceptional moment...when your baby's life begins and he takes his first breath of air. There are very few times in your life that are as significant.
When you choose a doctor at Myrtue, the entire healthcare team works together to deliver the best birthing experience possible. Myrtue's physicians and nurses are with you every step of the way. We offer Infant Nutrition classes about bottle feeding and breastfeeding to help you decide how you will feed your newborn and discuss dietary guidelines for the first year of life. We also offer Childbirth Prep classes in a 6 week format or in an all-day Saturday class which covers the stages and phases of labor and reviews coping techniques. By reviewing breathing and relaxation techniques, we help you prepare for your labor.
We provide tours of the OB/Nursery department at Sibling Classes for the soon-to-be big brothers and sisters and at the Childbirth preparation classes to help prepare for what to expect during their first visits to the hospital to meet their newest addition. During your stay with us at the hospital, our skilled physicians and nurses want to provide you with the knowledge and tools to provide a safe home environment for your newborn. We welcome your questions and provide special attention to your personal needs.
Our OB and nursery nurses are on staff 24 hours a day to help you. We feel it is an awesome privilege to be involved with families during such an intimate life event!
