Full-time (36 hours). 7:00a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Every third weekend. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in various settings – Med-Surg., Swing Bed, OB, SCU, ER, Outpatient and Perioperative. He/she directs and provides patient/family teaching. The RN provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Completes admission assessments and documentation. Appropriate assessments/reassessments completed with documentation. Initiates and individualizes care plans on admission. Reviews care plan per policy. Provides and documents patient/family education. Keeps practitioner/charge nurse informed of change in patient condition. Organizes and anticipates patient care needs, promptly answers call lights, and responds to request promptly. Provides age-appropriate care. Functions appropriately in emergency situations. Current Iowa license. Graduate from an approved professional Nursing Program. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification is required within 12 months of date of hire. Takes responsibility for pursuit of continuing education.
