Full-time position (36 hours per week). Works 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (three 12-hour shifts). Scheduled hours are various days Sunday through Saturday. Performs various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis and prepares tissues to be sent for pathology. Applies techniques used in fields of bacteriology, hematology, serology, blood banking, and chemical and morphological examinations. Records and charts laboratory test results. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of approved medical technology, and be registered by the ASCP, NCA, HHS, or equivalent as a MT or MLT.
