LPN, Medical Assistant, or Registered Nurse

Outpatient Specialty Clinics

Part-time position (20 hours per week).  Works various hours Monday through Friday.  Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic setting.  Directs and provides patient/family teaching.  Provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.  Applies knowledge of illnesses, injuries, and disease, using available resources in the assessment process.  Documents nursing assessments and intervention, etc.  Communicates information to peers, supervisors, physicians.  Organizes schedules and appointments and communicates with specialty medical practitioners and other staff.  Competent within scope of practice for care of all ages of patients (infants, pediatric, adult, geriatric).  Medical Assistant – must be a graduate of medical assistant training – possessing certification.  LPN – must be a graduate of accredited LPN school of nursing LPN program and possess a current LPN Iowa license.  Registered Nurse – must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program and hold a current license in the State of Iowa.  Certification in Basic Life Support is required within 3 months of date of hire.  Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 12 months of date of hire. click here to apply.
