On-call position. Works as needed Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm OR 8:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Is responsible for facilitating the patient’s hospitalization from pre-admission through discharge. Coordinates with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care. Applies clinical expertise and medical appropriateness criteria to resource utilization and discharge planning. Will provide case management intervention by assessing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to effect an appropriate, individualized plan for the patient across the continuum of care. Must be a registered nurse with five years experience in clinical nursing. Previous utilization review and case management experience preferred. Computer knowledge required. Must be a graduate from an approved Professional Nursing program with current Iowa Registered Nurse license.
Full-time position (36 hours per week). Works 8:00 am to 5:30 pm four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday plus two Thursdays 8:00 am to Noon per month. Is of prime importance in helping the medical provider respond successfully to the increasing demands for his/her services. Is the essential link between the medical provider and his/her patients, professional associates, and equipment and medical suppliers. Delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Obtains medical histories from patients and records briefly in chart. Teaches patients about diseases, medications, tests, and procedures. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing program possessing a current Iowa nursing license. Must either be certified in CPR or obtain certification during the first three months of employment.
On-call position. Works Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to the children of wellness center participants; keeps the children safe, clean, and comfortable; helps children to use restroom when needed; ensures the general appearance of the childcare facility and equipment; keeps toys clean, sanitized and in good working order; and performs documentation and record keeping as required. PFWC will provide on-the-job training.
Full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position. Works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Provides a high level of technical support (development, testing, integration, and implementation) of applications and interfaces which deliver IT tools and support business functions across the health system using the Epic system. Performs project management requirement definitions, systems design, analysis, problem resolution, and vendor coordination. Develops and implements training pertaining to the staff use of Epic clinical systems, participates as an active and integral member of the clinical informatics team, and maintains the established standards of care and practice through direct patient care, clinical systems improvement activities, and staff education. Provides in-house expertise and technical support to end-users on Epic database and software-related issues. Oversees day-to-day integrity of clinical informatics systems. Minimum of five years experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting required. Minimum of two years of health care application in an IT setting is beneficial. Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, clinical research, and analysis tools required. Epic certification is desired; must attain certification in clinical areas for Epic within six months. Current Iowa Registered Nurse license required. A sign-on bonus is being offered for this position.
Full-time position (40 hours per week). Works five days Sunday through Saturday 4:30 am to 1:00 pm. Rotates weekends and holidays. Assumes responsibility for overall cleaning of patient rooms, work areas, and public areas according to standards of the hospital. May be required to sort and/or transport laundry. Successful completion of the work on a regular basis would result in a clean, safe, and attractive environment which is conducive to the recovery of ill patients and contributes positively to staff morale and the public relations of the hospital. Thoroughly cleans assigned areas in a timely manner by applying cleaning techniques effectively. Training and experience not required. Hospital will do on-the-job training. Must know how to use common house cleaning devices to keep areas clean. Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards. Completion of high school or equivalent preferred.
